Paloma Faith 是一位以復古與搞怪造型聞名的英國籍女歌手兼演員，父親為西班牙裔，母親為英國籍。"Only Love Can Hurt Like This" 是其目前為止的職業生涯中最暢銷的一首歌。

第一次在無意間聽到電台播放這首歌時，就驚覺旋律與歌詞搭配起來怎麼那麼好聽，有相見恨晚的感覺，而且旋律不斷在腦中盤旋，百聽不厭，這應該就是所謂的「神曲」了吧？！由於以前從來沒想過自己會把偏爵士曲風的歌曲奉為「神曲」，真是令人感到意外與驚喜。

附帶一提，在研究這首歌歌詞的過程中，驚覺無論是在 YouTube 或各個介紹歌詞的中英文網頁，搜尋到的這首歌的歌詞通常都錯誤百出，很難得找到完全正確的版本。如果原文歌詞都錯了，翻譯又怎麼能翻對呢？
